Things to know
- Tethered PCVR only — not standalone. It has no battery and draws from an included external power adapter, so it needs a free DisplayPort 1.4a output and a USB 3.0 port.
- Standard package ships with the headset (4.5 m cable attached), 2 controllers, 2× USB-C charging cables, a power adapter with plug options, and a service card.
- Lighthouse (SteamVR) tracking and upgraded DMAS speakers are optional add-ons via a separate faceplate/audio strap — the base headset uses inside-out tracking.
- At ~815 g (heavier with cable) it's front-heavy; a comfort top strap, face cushions, or counterweight are common and recommended add-ons for long sessions.
- Laptops need a direct-GPU MiniDP or USB-C output plus an adapter rated for DP 1.4a at 8K/60 Hz; integrated-graphics passthrough won't work.
