Things to know
- The G2 keeps the original R295 body and VRS-QR quick release; what's new is an onboard USB port and an included magnetic USB cable, making it usable with any third-party wheelbase, not just VRS.
- On VRS bases that support it, data runs through the quick release with no cable; on third-party bases (or the VRS (u)DFP20 without pass-through) you connect via the magnetic USB cable instead.
- The VRS-QR uses a 50 mm bolt pattern — wheelbases with a 70 mm pattern require an adapter, and pairing with the VRS (u)DFP20 requires the separate QR Connect (u)DFP20 Adapter.
- In the box: the wheel with the quick release pre-installed, the magnetic USB cable, and an extensive sticker set for labeling buttons and encoders.
- All 24 LEDs and inputs are SimHub-compatible (with an official ATSR profile) and also configurable in the free VRS Config Tool, including car-specific rev lights for iRacing.
