Conspit 290 GP Sim Racing Wheel
The True Next Generation
The 290 GP redefines boundaries. Shattering the planar limitations of conventional wheels through its revolutionary 3D ergonomic architecture, it reinvents Formula-style steering with multi-layered structural innovations, relentlessly pushing the limits of immersive sim-racing experiences.
Engineered with motorsport-grade process and materials, the 290 GP features a pressure molded carbon fiber front plate (1,400g) paired with a forged 6061-T6 aluminum body. This structural fusion achieves high rigidity at 40% reduced mass, translating to precise force feedback transmission and zero flex during endurance sessions.
The CDR Quick Release System is designed using specifications that are widely adopted in the sim-racing industry, ensuring mechanical compatibility between various wheelbases and steering wheels. It accommodates multiple usage scenarios, allowing for rapid assembly and disassembly as well as effortless steering wheel changes.
The CDP Quick Release System is a proprietary development by CONSPIT, inspired by real-world Formula racing designs. Paired with a stable communication connection, it ensures a seamless driving experience when using the ARES wheelbase ecosystem, providing effortless control in all driving conditions.

Things to know
- No wheel-side quick release is included — the 50/70 mm Quick-Con adapter in the box fits standard 70 mm quick releases, which buyers supply separately.
- On a Conspit Ares or Ares Platinum base, the optional CDP quick release carries data through the hub; on any other base the coiled USB cable plugs into a recess on the back of the wheel and runs to the PC.
- The MagFlip shifters are rocker-type magnetic paddles that actuate on both push and pull, matching real Formula practice rather than the usual pull-only setup.
- Dual-clutch bite point, paddle behavior, dashboard pages and RGB mapping are all configured in Conspit Link 2.0.
- SimHub support on the 290 GP is reported inconsistently across Conspit's retailers — unlike the 300 GT, treat SimHub integration as unconfirmed and plan on Conspit Link 2.0 for lighting and dash.
