Things to know
- The wheel runs on its own USB cable rather than through the wheelbase quick release — plug the coiled cable into a powered USB 2.0 hub mounted close to the base, and avoid passive extensions longer than 2 m or a hub sitting behind an extension.
- Out of the box the wheel mounts to a 50.8 mm PCD quick release; 70 mm PCD QRs need the optional VPG 50 spacer, which includes a carbon fibre adapter plate and adds 55 mm of depth.
- Duo-Mode paddles are a checkout add-on rather than standard equipment — without them the wheel ships with aluminium shifter paddles only and no analog clutch axis.
- Display pages and LED behaviour are configured in SimHub (with the VoCore screen driver) and the Daniel Newman Racing plugin, while VPG Console handles Magic Function input mapping and the expanded 128-input layer.
- VPG Console includes a Power Health tool that monitors USB voltage and stability in real time, which is worth watching given the load the 5" screen and 118 LEDs place on the bus.
