Things to know
- The wheel connects by its own USB cable rather than drawing data through the wheelbase quick release — plug the coiled cable into a powered USB 2.0 hub sited as close to the base as possible.
- Avoid running the coiled cable through a passive extension longer than 2 m or into a hub behind an extension; use an active repeater cable if you need more than 2 m of reach.
- Out of the box the wheel bolts to a 50.8 mm PCD quick release; 70 mm PCD QRs require the optional VPG 50 spacer, which includes a carbon fibre adapter plate and adds 55 mm of depth.
- Duo-Mode paddles are a checkout option, not standard — they add analog paddles that can run as clutch, button, or an automatic crossover between the two via a dedicated VPG plugin.
- LED behaviour and input mapping are configured in SimHub using VPG's device file, while VPG Sim Suite handles firmware and per-rotary-position "magic button" assignments.
